【第22回】Luck is no accident 2nd edition(John D. Krumboltz, Impact Publishers, 2010)

In career theories, there are two types. One is static approach, and the other is dynamic one. Each of them has own merits. At every our career stages, it is important for us to judge which is better to use.

When we face serious transitions or career change, static approach fits to us. Static approach helps us to reflect our career process. After we reflect our past of career and life, we can clear our core values. And also we can find out our strong points in our work career.

But the environment of our work place is not static, and the changing speed is getting faster and faster now. Based on the changing environment, the important skills of our work are also changing.

Then, what should we do ?

When we want to see our future career, the dynamic approach is useful. This book is written about it. Using the planned happenstance approach, we have the chance to stretch our hidden value. Through doing it, we may create the inner environment.

And continuing to challenge leas us to the life long learning. When we want to challenge in our work, we have to learn a lot of things. On the other hand, learning wider knowledge leads us to deepen our work. In this book, there are many hints to use by ourselves.

Of course it is important for employees to think about their own career and life. But, it is also important for employers to care the career of their employees.

Though some kind of career workshop is important, but posting is one of the important factors of career development. The company which does care the timing of posting may consider employees as important capitals.
